Will Fit the Following Can-Am Spyder Models and Years 2014-2020 RT (All Models) 2015-2020 F3 (All Models) Designed Specifically for the 1330 ACE Motor Will Not fit any V-Twin Spyder Models NGK’s Iridium IX Series Spark Plugs were Designed Specifically for the Performance Enthusiast. Fine Wire Iridium Tip ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark Outstanding Acceleration, Fuel Efficiency and Durability Iridium Alloy has an Extremely High Melting Point, Perfect for Today’s High-Tech, High Performance Engines Trivalent Metal Plating Provides Superior Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Seizing Properties Corrugated Ribs Prevent Flashover Pure Alumina Silicate Ceramic Insulator, Provides Superior Strength and Better Heat Transfer Ultimate Design, Technology and Performance Triple Seals Prevent Leakage The Can-Am Rotax 1330 ACE motor comes from the factory with NGK Laser Welded Spark Plugs. The OEM Laser Welded version is an excellent OEM spark plug. However, the NGK Iridium IX spark plugs offered in this kit are a step above. The CR7EIX Iridium IX Spark Plugs contained in this kit will out-perform the OEM Laser Welded version. You will Receive (3) NGK CR7EIX Iridium IX Spark Plugs (Pre-Gapped) (1)- Packet SuperLube High Quality Dielectric Grease (1)- Packet GD-100 High Temperature Thermal Paste Both the Dielectric Grease and Thermal Paste are recommended by BRP/Can-Am. These are very important components of a properly done Spark Plug service. Dielectric Grease – Applying a high quality Dielectric grease to the inside of the spark plug boot does several things. It lubricates the boot to spark plug interface, prevents water/moisture from getting to the electrical connection, inhibits corrosion, and protects against the boot ‘welding’ to the spark plug over time. Thermal Paste – Note: Not all Thermal pastes are created equal. I supply a High Temperature Thermal Paste with this kit. Typical computer type thermal paste will not stand up to the temperatures created by an internal combustion engine. Applying a thin coat of thermal paste to the spark plug threads insures good heat transfer from the spark plug to the cylinder head. DO NOT USE Anti-Seize! Anti-Seize is an insulator and will inhibit the heat transfer critical to correct functioning of your spark plugs! The spark plug depends on the enhanced heat transfer provided by a good Thermal Paste to maintain proper temperature of the spark plug components. This is very important to prevent damaging and power robbing pre-ignition (Knock) and fouling. It is true that the computer in your Can-Am Spyder will manage ignition timing to prevent pre-ignition so you do not have to worry about any damaging effects. So if your spark plugs get too hot, the computer will retard ignition timing to compensate for the overheating spark plugs. However, this will reduce power output and fuel mileage. That is why BRP (and other modern engine manufacturers) highly recommend using thermal paste on the spark plug threads to prevent this.
